Life Lately

Ask anyone and they'll tell you that I have a HORRIBLE memory. (Even my post about my first date with Cody was wrong, the story that I told was actually our SECOND date) So rather then blogging a written update about what has been going on, (probably forgetting half of it, and making the other half up) I'll just post LOTS of pictures. :)

Grab a snack and enjoy. :)

Oh yeah......one more question

All of our laptops crashed within 2 weeks of each other so we have been computerless. So here I sit at work needing to steal 10 minutes of time because something all too funny just happened.

Meg called: "Hey! Goodmorning! (She never is that excited to talk to me, especially at 9:13 am)Hey, I was thinking that it's really not fair that you let me borrow clothes all the time and I never let you. So, as long as you ask first, you can borrow ANYTHING of mine ANYTIME!"

Me: Thanks Meg that's really nice of you. Well I gotta get back to work, anything else?"

Meg: "Nope......oh yeah one more question. I have my meeting at West today.......can I borrow your blue vans?"

Figured.

Sweet Baby Beans

When the Beans really NEEDS what you have she pretends that she is a super sweet baby sister, and loves you the most and just wants some sister cuddler time.

But in reality all she really wants is...

And she get it EVERY time!

The Barf Noise

Haylie: Experiment time. Read the post before this. You'll see why.

Codi, Lucy and Tweet: It might be a good idea for you all to read the one before as well, it will make more sense. I mean you are smart ladies and I'm sure you will figure it out. Either way.

All other readers: read on or whatev'.

I want you all to know that I couldn't sleep last night. That's right not a wink because I was so dern mortified about the post below. The only reason I'm leaving it is so you will like me and call us for a girls night. (Okay so I guess "you all" is only Codi, Baby Girl, and Tweet.) This is my reasoning. When ever I check up on your blogs I think, "Oh I miss them, we need to do something soon. GIRLS NIGHT!" So I am humiliated but I will tough it out because I love you. No pressure or anything but if you don't call to make plans for girls night soon.....I'll either kill myself or shut my blog down. Probably kill myself. Haylie, I know you all too well. I know that when you read my blog you made that noise while reading the entire thing. Yes, you know the noise I mean, the one where it sounds like you would be grabbing your stomach and jerking over at the waist, while sticking your tongue out in a repulsive manner. And your tongue sticks out more as the noise gets more disgusting. The barf noise. You made it the other day. But sis, DO YOU WANT A GIRLS NIGHT OR NOT?!?!

Joseph and the Amazing Techicolored Dream Coat? How Romantic

I realize that this post is rather immature and slightly lame. I'm sure I will look back on it and consider myself a buffoon for even doing it, in fact I'm already getting cold feet about it. However my blog is in dire need of an update, and this is the only exciting thing that has happened to me since my last post. Pathetic, I know. Okay here it goes.
His name is Cody Collins Adams. We officially met a bit before Thanksgiving. I say officially because we both vaguely knew of each other before. We run with the same group of friends and it just so happened that we were both there that night. I don't even remember the activities that took place the night we met. I think we went to Denny's and to Lindsey Gardens. At the time I was interested in another boy, and was texting him the entire time. (Cody reminds me of this all the time) Cody paid zero attention to me the entire night. In fact he was all over our other friend. At the end of the night, as they were dropping me off at home Cody awkwardly punched my shoulder, when I turned around he was waving his phone while he said, "we should text." Of course I gave him my number because although I wasn't interested in the least, he was hilarious and I wasn't opposed to having him as a bud. Over that weekend we texted a lot. I had never laughed out loud from a text so many times as I did while reading Cody's texts. Still, I was holding out for my other fellow. That Sunday night Cody asked me to go to a movie with him, I agreed to go. Shortly after agreeing I called Kobi up in a panic. I explained the whole story and told her that I wanted to go but I didn't want to lead him on or let him think that it would be a date. After much brain storming she agreed to come along. That wasn't enough. I wanted to make sure that there was no way that he could confuse this as a date so I invited about 3 other people. We continued to hang out, of course always in a large group, but every night when we all went home Cody would call to say good night, and we would end up talking for a couple of hours. (Don't worry mom, Cody had Cingular as well so it was free. :)) One night we all were hanging out and everyone was in a terrible mood so the night was called very early. It seemed that Cody and I were the only ones in a good mood. So after they dropped me off I called Cody up and asked if he was done hanging for the night or wanted to go out for a bit longer, he said he would come get me and we would see where the night would take us. We ended up driving around for several hours. Normally not my idea of a good time, but I was so comfortable around Cody and I always had such a good time that I thought it would be fun. WRONG. That was the night I thought he had ruined our friendship forever. While driving up Foothill he poured his soul out that he had feelings for me, that he had never met anyone like me, that he felt this the first night at Denny's but was just too shy to talk to me. I was, for lack of a better word, pissed.. Of course I didn't let on but deep down I knew things could never be the same and it made me mad. How could he do this? How could he be so selfish? WTF?!?!?! I honestly felt at that time that we could have been best friends, and now he was going to ruin it by having feelings for me?! I told him that I only saw him as a friend and that's all I could be for him. He dropped me off shortly after that. A week or two later He convinced me to hang out just the two of us. It took a lot of convincing, I told him I didn't want to lead him on and that it would give him the wrong idea if I said yes. He assured me that he knew how I felt about him and he simply wanted to watch a movie. We ended up watching Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat........true story. I left that night sure that I had the same feelings I had before I had gone over, but the next night when he came over to watch August Rush I wasn't as sure. Slowly but surely I became intrigued with Cody Adams. Being me I never let on. In fact I reminded him each time we hung out that I did not have feelings for him. To this day he tells me that he was sure I was Bipolar. We were talking on the phone one evening, and like always, I told him I had ABSOLUTELY NO feelings for him. Later that night when we were watching a movie, I turned to him and awkwardly, and for some reason loudly spit out in one long run on sentence something along the lines of, " I didn't like you, like at all, like I was not attracted to you in the least, but for some reason now I think that I am, I'm not sure and I probably don't, but I thought I should let you know, I'll keep you updated as I figure it out, but don't get your hopes up." Skipping forward several months here we are. He's the official Boyfriend. It's still kinda weird, but it's fun, and kinda exciting.

CALL FOR BACKUP!!!

Last night I was chased by the police, that's right, a high speed chase. It all started around 10 o'clock. My friend, Kobi and I were cruising around. The rest of our friends were bowling, we were simply waiting for them to finish. We don't bowl. I don't pay money to stick my feet in shoes that someone (who I don't know their hygiene habits) has put their feet in, then continue to humiliate myself by gutterballin it every time at bowl. Caitlin if you ever want free ice cream just invite Kobi and I to bowl. Moving on. We have our little route that we take every time we go for drives. (which is often because we don't have friends) There is a skate park that we like to stalk to see if there are any hotties boarding that we can stare at for one brief moment as we drive by.The skate park is located (and I am terrible with directions so this is probably not going to be accurate at all) where 12th west turns into boy scout drive, for those of you familiar with Rose Park. For those of you who are not, this skate park is located at the end of a street where it turns into a very creepy, secluded road. There are no houses, the weeds on both side of the road are as high as your car door. Creepy. But once you are past the skate park you are committed to drive through, unless you want to look like a queer and turn around and drive right past the skaters you just holla'd at. No thanks. So we drove on, windows up, doors locked and as fast as the speed limit would allow, 25 mph. Ok I have to side track one more time, sorry. I was driving my papa's Subaru, I was wearing a little black dress with leggings and a braid in my hair. Kobi was my co-captain, sporting a cute little zip up hoodie, lil' diamond earrings and her bob hair cut, and I believe we were jammin to, Every Time We Touch by Cascada. So as I was pulling out my signature dance move I see headlights in the rear view mirror. Very unusual and even more creepy. We double checked the locks. The lights were gaining on us, I freak out very quickly and always assume the worst. I knew that some crazed serial killer, rapist had been following us, and knew that now was his chance! I kept my head about me and remembered that policeman lurked in this area all the time to catch people like our stalker.....and speeders. Just as that thought ran across my mind his rollers started to flash behind me, it was an officer. I wasn't speeding, swerving, drinking, disturbing the peace. There could be no reason to pull me over. I thought back to drivers ed 101, and recalled that if you are in a secluded dark area alone (and I may as well had been, at the sight of danger Kobi would leave me for dead, she has before) you should drive to a public street with more traffic especially if you are a young woman. My father had told me about this as well. So that's what I did, dropped my speed to 23 mph and stayed very far right. Two seconds later his spot light came on, 8 seconds after that his sirens were waking up the neighbors, well they would have if there would have been neighbors to wake up. Finally after what felt like hours Redwood Road was in sight I pulled over and stopped the car. The police officer, D. Austill approached the vehicle slowly, stealth mode, and at a safe distance, with his flash light.

Officer D. Austill: "HANDS ON THE WHEEL!"

Me: "Mmm kay"

while putting my hands up

Officer D. Austill: "Do you want to explain to me why it took you 500 yards to stop?"

Me: "Yes, I was driving to a more public street officer."

Officer D. Austill: "Why?"

Me: I explained to him my reasoning, but left out that he could very well be a crooked cop.

Officer D Austill: "That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard!"

Me: "I was just being safe, that's what they told us to do."

Officer D. Austill: "Who is they?"

Me: "My drivers ed teacher...... and my father."

Officer D. Austill: "That is the worst advice I've ever heard! Look at that car" (pointing to his police cruiser) "that would be pretty hard to duplicate don't you think?!"

Kobi and I stared at each other.

Kobi:...."Ummmm not really."

Me: "Yeah, there have been cases of this before."

Officer D. Austill: "Give me your license." takes it. "I hope you realize that I was just pulling you over for your headlight that is out but now we have some serious issues! Do you realize I was about to call for backup for a pursuit?!"

Me: "No."

Officer D. Austill" " I was" leaves for his car

comes back 8 minutes later

"let me give you some advice, stop next time. If the car would have been unmarked with one light then that would have been fine, but look at it."

Me: "Ok....thanks"

Officer D. Austill: "Let your dad know about the headlight."

Me: "I will."

Officer D. Austill: giving me my license back and hitting the edge of the window, "Be Safe."

THAT IS WHAT I WAS DOING OFFICER D. AUSTILL!!! And what about those "serious issues"? That's right! Because there were none! What was he going to report? Two white girls in a subaru going 23 mph, getting to a safe road to avoid being found by the Jordan River in the morning? Has he not heard about the cases of freaks stealing police cars? Hello Officer D. Austill, when other officers come to lecture about safety at school they teach this very thing. What a jerk. I had Kobi hop out and take a picture.
